And Now for Something Completely Different...

I've been inspired to jazz things up a bit here with new colors and a new background. This style better complements the whole Beatrix Potter theme, especially the little picture of the rabbit getting hit with a marrow in the "About Me" section. Thank yous go out to Jodi and Kylee, who got me started on this process and encouraged my efforts. Ultimately, I ended up at Blogger Buster, where I found precise instructions to make the changes I wanted with a minimum of effort. As I didn't have to change the template, I didn't have to redo any photos or widgets. They say a change is as good as a vacation. Almost - I'm still heading to Florida in a couple of weeks.

OOOh, green and purple, my favourite colours...I love it. Let's start a blog renovation-revolution! I'm glad it wasn't traumatizing for you...and I sure hope you're going to post from Florida for all of us frozen-chosen up here in the north!

I just love your new look. It does go well with Briar Rabbit.

I too think you should do several posts from the warmth of your deck chair in FL.

Nice look! But why are you trying to make Peter Rabbit happy? OOPS! Only kidding. ;-)

Jodi - great minds think alike?
Lisa - I'm going for only a long weekend & I'll be lucky if I get a chance at the computer. I will take lots of photos that I could post when I get back.
Dirty Knees - I have to be nice to Peter Rabbit; he was my son's "lovey" when he was a baby.

It's a bright, fresh and happy theme! The purple tulips are a perfect way to welcome spring (if it ever arrives) and the colors work great - especially with the picture on your post 'Sweet Dreams are Made of This'.

2 Greenthumbsup - Thanks, & thanks for visiting! I guess the tulips will look good with anything I post of my garden because I really like purple, so my garden's colors match that.

I am so Proud of you! Your work has turned out just Beautifully! Wow! (maybe someday I'll look into some of this myself. When I do, would you also be a tutor?) ;-)

I hate to admit this to other people, but years ago at a school or somewhere I watched a video- of Peter Rabbit! I think I enjoyed it more than my kids, Mr. McGregor's garden, even though cartoon, was so interesting. It was the perfect picture of an English Cottage Garden. I would love to find the video- just to watch the part of the garden again!

Thanks, Shady Gardener! I don't know if you'd want me as a tutor; you're probably more tech savvy than I am, but I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

Christine - I think the BBC America catalogue has those DVDS, which were part of a series for British television. I've been thinking about getting them myself, just to listen to Hugh Laurie as Johnny Townmouse (that's what I recall, anyway). For a more realistic garden fix, there's always the gardens in the movie "Miss Potter."
